As a stone sculptor, I needed to learn basic photographic technique in order to document my work, but didn't begin to pursue photography as a means of artistic expression in its own right until 2001. Now I'm totally hooked!

What I love most about photography is the sense of discovery that I feel when I find something to shoot, especially in circumstances where there initially doesn't seem to be much to photograph at all. I enjoy the challenge of finding ways to photograph these things, which are often quite ordinary and mundane. Although I take pleasure in photographing when I travel, I find that there is visual interest and often great beauty everywhere, and the fact that I don't need to go far to find it and photograph it, is very exciting.

If I can see it, I can photograph it!

My husband and I divide our time between our homes in Maple Ontario, which is just outside of Toronto, our summer cottage in Muskoka, and in Arizona.
